PB&J TV WEBCASTING
VS. TYPICAL LIVE STREAMING
BEFORE A LIVE STREAM DISPLAYS ON A USER’S DEVICE, THE PBJ-CDN (CONTENT DELIVERY NETWORK) DETERMINES WHETHER THE REQUESTED LIVE STREAM IS ALREADY BEING VIEWED BY ANOTHER USER. IF SO, IT WILL CONNECT THE USER WITH THE EXISTING VIDEO STREAM TO AVOID DUPLICATION AND USING UNNECESSARY BANDWIDTH.
Video Streaming with traditional DVR systems and even standard IP systems can weigh heavily on a shared business network, effecting the internet speed and hampering the performance of your check-in software, payment software, and other cloud based solutions. PB&J TV introduces an entirely new solution to the Industry which drastically minimizes bandwidth use in a number of ways:
- IP Encoding / Transcoding Pre-packing: The PB&J TV system encodes video as it captures video in each camera and then transcode and deliver to the cloud through the on-site server.
- CDN: Once the video leaves the center, it is streamed to the “The Cloud” to enable superior speed while relaying to an unlimited number of simultaneous users.
- On Demand LIVE Streaming: Unlike standard webcasting, PB&J TV only casts video to the CDN when the first user requests a particular stream and then shuts the stream down when the last user signs out. Additional users requesting a stream that is already available on our cloud connect to the video at the cloud.
